The program was established eight years ago by George A. and Louise M. Kalous. The scholarship’s primary purpose is to give high school students with financial needs opportunities to study and gain the necessary knowledge to graduate and pursue their academic path.

The program is available for high school seniors in Lynn County, Iowa. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance and low household income. Kalous Scholarship awards three people $1,000 annually. The deadline is February 28.

The Philip M. Dowd Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is another great chance for students who are in dire need of financial support. The program allows people of the Sacramento region to apply for this scholarship and get a $1,000 or $5,000 award amount. Students should prove their thorny path, how they deal with problems to accomplish academic success. The committee will choose a student based on the incorporation of academic merit and other factors identified by sponsors. Since Sacramento has plenty of businesses and charitable organizations, the requirements vary from one year to another. The application deadline is March 12.

Political Leadership Scholarship

Pride Foundation offers an extensive list of scholarships for active students of different degrees and majors. Most programs are accessible for straight and questioning learners and students of LGBT parents. This scholarship is available for Political Science students who are residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington state. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Ashbrook Scholar Program

The program offers a $2,000 scholarship for Ashland University students who prove substantial academic achievements in Politics and History. The application deadline varies, so it is recommended to ask the Ashland University scholarship committee directly.

American Political Science Association Congressional (APSC) Fellowships

The association warmly welcomes applicants from Political Science majors who want to dive deep into Congress and policy-making activities. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have permanent residency and prove at least two-year experience working in the field. The program awards $50,000 recipients and covers travel expenses and other allowances, providing additional benefits. Applications are currently open, and the deadline is set for February 16.

Antonio Jorge Political Economy Scholarship

The program was created in honor of Dr. Jorge’s life and his everlasting ideas that included fruitful international cooperation, education, and high living standards. Two qualified students who want to pursue their undergraduate education in Political Science will be awarded $500 each. The scholarship is renewable. The application deadline is July 31.
